New Patient Registration & Booking Policy

At The Bowel Clinic, we are committed to providing high-quality specialist medical care in a safe, respectful, and professional environment. To ensure fair access to our services and compliance with legal requirements, the following policy applies to all new patient bookings

1. Registration Requirements

  • All new patients must complete a New Patient Registration Form prior to their first appointment.

  • A valid credit card is required at the time of booking to secure the appointment.

  • Credit card details are stored securely in accordance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and Australian privacy legislation.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We appreciate that circumstances may change, but late cancellations or non-attendance affect access for other patients and result in significant costs for the clinic.

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days before the appointment – no fee applies.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days but more than 48 hours before the appointment – a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation fee will be charged.

    • This fee is not eligible for Medicare or private health fund rebates.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment, or failure to attend – the full consultation fee (100%) will be charged.

    • This fee is also not eligible for Medicare or private health fund rebates.

Rescheduling is considered a cancellation unless sufficient notice is given

3. Payment

  • Fees will be charged automatically to the credit card provided at booking, in line with this policy.

  • All outstanding fees must be settled before future bookings can be confirmed.

4. Privacy, Confidentiality & Data Management
